The kids are alright

The Macau Child Development Association and Caritas Macau were the welcome beneficiaries of substantial donations from the winner “Macau Golf” and “SJM Grand Lisboa” respectively. The champions of this year’s Tournament picked up total prize money of 200’000 MOP then promptly handed it over to the local charities of their choice at an award ceremony during the Charity Gala Dinner Night at the Westin Resort Macau.

Apart from the tournament’s main prize money, two charitable auctions ran simultaneously throughout the evening. Memorabilia from the worlds of sport, cinema and music were sold at the event including autographed items such as a jersey from soccer legend Pele, Tiger Woods Master Flag, Fender Guitars from Rock Legends U2 and Rolling Stones as well a replica Olympic Torch. Money raised from the sales will benefit local social projects. In parallel, Art of All (AFA), donated 20 works from 10 local artists which were auctioned as well. Proceeds will be used to the troupes future development including an educational fund.
